• Inventor Apprentice Server 2026 standalone supports Windows 10 64 bit at the latest service pack and update level. If your operating system does not meet these requirements, please update it before attempting the installation.
• Verify you have administrator privileges on your local machine to install Autodesk Inventor Apprentice Server 2026 standalone.

Before you begin...

1. Install all Windows Updates that are pending on your machine and reboot:

Windows 10: From the Desktop, Windows Update is located under Settings.

It is sometimes necessary to perform Windows Update multiple times to completely update your operating system.

2. Verify that enough disk space is available on your machine to install Autodesk Inventor Apprentice Server 2026.

To install Autodesk Inventor Apprentice Server 2026:

1. Download the appropriate Inventor Apprentice Server 2026 installation files to a temporary location on your computer hard drive.
2. Double click on the self-extracting executable to unpack and initiate the installer.
3. Follow the installer prompts and when done, click Finish.
4. If required, reboot the system after the installation is finished.

To verify the installation was successful, start Autodesk Inventor Apprentice Server 2026 standalone. On the Help menu, select About Inventor Apprentice Server... If the About box displays: Build: 175, Release: 2026, the installation was successful.

The Apprentice Server installed with Inventor 2026 is now registry free. This means that it can only be used by Inventor itself and can no longer be leveraged by other software such as VBA or custom addin's. To use Apprentice Server outside of Inventor, download and install the standalone Apprentice Server, (which is registry based).
