This Readme contains information about downloading and installing the hybrid IPv4/IPv6 Autodesk Network License Manager for 64-bit Linux.

Please be advised that we have identified occasional issues associated with client-server encryption introduced with this FlexNet Publisher version. As a precautionary measure, we currently advise against utilising this capability. Updates will be provided for a future release which will address these issues.

Downloading and Installing Network License Manager files
To download the hybrid IPv4/IPv6 NLM:
Download the nlm11.19.4.1_ipv4_ipv6_linux64.tar.gz file to your desktop.
To install the Autodesk Network License Manager:
Unzip the file into a folder on the machine as follows: tar –zxvf nlm11.19.4.1_ipv4_ipv6_linux64.tar.gz
Install the FLEXnet server RPM (extracted above) with command below and follow the instructions: rpm -vhi nlm11.19.4.1_ipv4_ipv6_linux64.rpm
The NLM should be installed under /opt/flexnetserver .
To start the Network License Server:
You should be logged in with Administrator rights when working with the lmgrd utility.
Open a Terminal window and navigate to the Autodesk Network License Manager folder (containing the files lmutil , lmgrd , and adskflex ).
In that folder, enter the following command to start the Network License Server: ./lmgrd –c license_file_list –l debug_log_path Note: It is recommended to start lmgrd with a non-root user. If you must start lmgrd with a root user, enter the following to run lmgrd as a non-privileged user: su username ./lmgrd –c license_file_list –l debug_log_path where username is a non-privileged user.
To update the Autodesk Network License Manager:
If an earlier version of the Network License Manager is running, you need to stop the service before you can install the new version. Administrator permission is required for this procedure. The NLM should be installed under /opt/flexnetserver .
Back up your license files.
Stop the Autodesk Network License Manager service by entering the following in Terminal: ./lmutil lmdown -q -force
Note the location where the Network License Manager is installed and then uninstall the Network License Manager by entering the standard Linux commands, for example, rm .
Install the Network License Manager as indicated in earlier instructions.
Start the Network License Manager service as indicated in earlier instructions.
Environment:
License administrators must upgrade the license servers to the latest version, v11.19.4.1, when using 2020 or later products.
